Job Description

This position is Temp-to-Hire


Performs functions directed towards successfully and efficiently meeting production goals for customer orders by accurately selecting and staging ingredients for blending. Position requires knowledge and ability to follow established policies, procedures and practices.


Essential Duties


  • Select correct ingredients and provide accurate amounts per batch requirements. Must follow FIFO guidelines.

  • Stage ingredients for blending.

  • Follow established Allergen Control Program procedures as they apply to the handling of ingredients and materials.

  • Must be able lift up to 55 pounds continuously.

  • Must maintain integrity of raw materials.

  • Must be available to work daily overtime and Saturdays as required.

  • Must assist in inventory and cycle counts.

  • Must follow good manufacturing practices, and be responsible for sanitation of assigned area.

  • Must follow all Safety Rules.

  • Cooperates in maintaining a safe and respectful work environment.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Must possess current forklift driver license/certificate.

  • 1-2 years’ forklift and warehousing experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred.

  • Knowledge of food manufacturing inventory/Ingredients & load move system preferred.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.

  • Good organizational skills

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Job requires the ability to stand continuously, reach, handle/lift/carry 50 pounds plus repeatedly; push/pull 100+ lbs. frequently; walk, climb up/down stairs, and reach above shoulders occasionally;

  • Must be able to work in a highly aromatic environment, handling and working with (strong and mild) seasoning ingredients (from fine powders to course granulation).

  • Noise levels are moderate to high

  • The job requires operation of industrial grade equipment.
