Job Description

The Bilingual Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing support to the Plant Human Resources Manager, and serves as a liaison to NWF plant employees on a variety of employee issues.


 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



•         Processes payroll for production employees and prepares labor invoices for temporary employees.



•         Assists and coordinates employee activities to include annual Company summer and holiday events.



•         Develops job descriptions for new positions and recommends placement in compensation plan.



•         Creates purchase orders as needed.



•         Counsels employees regarding job related issues, Company policies, procedures and disciplinary actions.



•         Administers annual performance appraisal process.



•         Assists with benefits enrollment administration as needed.



•         Translates documents into Spanish or Haitian Creole.



•         Conducts full cycle recruitment for exempt, non-exempt and temporary positions including phone screens, interviews.  Conducts pre-employment testing and oversees pre-employment drug and background checks.



•         Conducts new employee orientations including payroll paperwork and benefits orientation.



•         Manages exit interview process.



•         Maintains Company organizational charts, HR Reports, Manning Lists and completes required monthly corporate reporting.



•         Independently researches various initiatives, including compensation planning, policy updates, and technology improvements.  Collects data and resources, presents findings and provides recommendations.



•         Conducts internal HR audits.



•         Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:



•         Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business, or a related discipline is required.



•         Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a Human Resources capacity.



•         Background in food industry or manufacturing highly preferred.



•         Must be able to prioritize and multi-task in a busy environment.



•         Strong communication and analytical skills.



•         Intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Office software; experience with Lotus Notes a plus.



•         Must be able to pass required pre-employment skills, drug and background testing.



•         Must be bilingual in either Spanish or Haitian-Creole.
