Job Description

As the HR Manager for Newly Weds Foods' Watertown plant, you will serve as the site HR business partner, reporting to the Plant Manager. You will be responsible for managing all plant HR programs and activities.
Essential Functions:

  • Plans, organizes, and controls all activities of the department. Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.

  • Manages recruitment, selection, training and development

  • Manages and resolves employee benefits issues. 

  • Assists in managing employee disciplinary action and performance improvement. 

  • Maintains all recordkeeping for governmental, regulatory, and company requirements, including OSHA, EEOC. 

  • Actively manages Workers Compensation, unemployment, and disability cases. 

  • Initiates and leads planning and managing of employee celebrations. 

  • Manages payroll processing and benefits administration for the site. 

  • Handles other duties and projects as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a Business or HR related discipline 

  • Fluency in Spanish highly preferred. 

  • Minimum of 5 years management experience in a Human Resource Management role in a manufacturing environment.

  • At least 5 years direct supervisory experience of staff 

  • Ability to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment 

  • Must be proactive and be able to meet deadlines 

  • Must have professional demeanor and excellent work ethic 

  • Experience with workplace safety programs 

  • Human Resources Certification (PHR/SPHR) preferred
