Quality Control Manager 

Lead the plant efforts for assuring that products/processes meet and exceed customer and regulatory requirements to include product quality attributes and food safety.  This job requires hands-on involvement in the Q.C. lab and on the production floor, as well as the ability to lead and develop team members.  Formal training and coursework in Food Safety regulation and compliance.

Technical Capability

  • Possess knowledge of manufacturing processes and operations; troubleshoot technical and relational situations.
  • Monitor customer complaints and assist the plant in root cause identification
  • Strong technical skills in operation systems (NWF applications). Possess ability to operate a computer; Knowledge of Windows based software; Knowledge of basic functions of manufacturing process software (i.e. AS400 etc.).
  • A leader who is involved with production out in the plant to solve problems and improve processes, with the highest integrity
  • Provide technical expertise and support and improve our food quality, food safety and sanitation.
  • Excellent project management skills. Possess exceptional planning and scheduling skills.
  • Be able to make informed decisions and effectively implement solutions
  • Is able to troubleshoot technical and relational situations
  • Possess qualitative thinking skills- results oriented, cost/benefit analysis

Job Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelors of Science in Food Science or related technical science degree required.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience leading quality programs in food industry
  • Prior demonstrated experience successfully implementing quality tools and concepts (FSMA, GFSI audits, BRC, HACCP, Allergens, Food Defense)
  • Ability to pass Employment, Comprehension and Math tests
  • Experience in supervising, coaching, and training of others required
  • Experience of food manufacturing required
